Ditto on yesterday's post (read below).  Status remains the same on the strawberries----tonnes.  We're not exaggerating.

They happen to be beautiful and delicious too!  Strawberries are the red jewel of late summer.

*note to our damp selves and spirits---  "It is still summer!!!"

Row upon row.

It's all about the "star"-berries this month.  They stand alone and they won't disappoint.  They are big, delicious and easy to pick.

We are open FRIDAY and SATURDAY from 8am to 1pm for strawberry U-pick.

Closed Sunday. Open Monday from 8am to 1pm.

Please bring containers and cash.

We are looking forward to a sweet weekend of berries and we hope you are too!

We will be closed Thursday, August 7th.  The strawberries have been well picked the last few days and could use a day to ripen up.  That'll make for excellent picking on Friday and Saturday.

And very sadly and always very surprizingly, the blueberries are done, picked clean, barely a 2016 berry in sight.  It catches us by surprize every year because they appear endless and then we blink (or you pick up a storm) and they're gone.   You may find other local blueberry farms with berries; McClintocks, Bluehaven and possibly others.  We have no frozen blueberries for sale.

FYI  The harvest was 30% larger than 2015.  It's been a great blueberry season although a week shorter than expected.

So Thursday will be a day to transit to the "STAR" berry---often the biggest and sweetest, definitely the reddest and usually the quickest to pick  is STRAWBERRIES!!

We look forward to 2 months of strawberry awesome on the farm. It's not so hard to finish with blueberries when we know what's in store strawberry-wise.

We will begin opening 5 days a week for August so please check back here for open hours.  We will close if we are picked out.

The remainder of this week:

Closed Thursday

Open Friday and Saturday from 8am to 1pm

Closed Sunday

Open Monday from 8am to 1pm

Nothing is as yummy as a fresh strawberry pie in August.   Photo circa 2012.  Help, he's bigger than me now!
