season continues.  Same old, same old to report.  Loads of big ripe raspberries on the canes and plump, blue, blueberries on the bushes.  Either or, especially both, you can't go wrong.

They happen to be very photogenic berries too so I'll post yet another photo:

Open for the (easiest) U-pick raspberries and blueberries Monday to Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Closed Sunday.

We also have free range eggs for $5/dz.

Roasting chicken   $3.75/lb.

Remember containers and cash!

Raspberries and blueberries...the fields are alive with the best berries.

The picking continues to be excellent whether you choose red or blue.  We highly recommend both.

We are open all week (except Sunday) from 8am to 1pm for U-pick.

Bring your containers and cash.  We've got the toilet covered.

all week long.  That's our prediction.  Amazing picking in the raspberries and blueberries.  Beat the heat and the haze with a berry treat:  popsicles, smoothies, fresh pie, popsicles again, shakes, and our family favourite or how they get any food around here, berries straight up.

The most important news though is that we are relieved/happy to offer a toilet again.  Thanks for your previous understanding of our water woes.

We are open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 1pm for U-pick.

Taking orders for pre-picked raspberries ($5/lb) and blueberries ($4/lb).

We hope to see you this week.  Don't forget your containers and cash!

This sweet boy turns 8 tomorrow

We'll serve him up is traditional birthday breakfast of raspberry shortcake

and all that RAZZ!  I can't think of much else to tell you.  The raspberries are better than they've ever been (and that's saying something).  I can also inform you that it is indeed possible to serve yourself and your family raspberries at every meal.  We are living ras-happy proof of this.  And our freezer is filling up because they make the winter a little brighter too.

The blueberries also speak for themselves.  Big, sweet and loads of them.

We are open on Saturday from 8am to 1pm for raspberry and blueberry U-pick.  Closed Sunday. Open Monday again from 8am to 1pm.

Taking orders for pre-picked blueberries and raspberries.

*We have nothing to report on the strawberries.  Their status remains the same.

Bring containers, cash and an empty bladder. (See previous posts for details on that).  Sorry, it's very late....

Have a wonderful weekend----we hope berry picking is a fun part of it!

under this sun...everything remains exceptional and out of the ordinary (in a good way)  in the berry world.

Raspberries are excellent and the blueberries are beginning to join them in the excellent ranks.  It may be warm but you will be rewarded with the easiest of picking for both the red and the blue.

Strawberries maintain their unwillingness to do much in the heat.  The picking will get better.  August is their month.

Our water situation also remains less than desirable.  As you can imagine, it is not improving.  Please note we have no bathroom or much to offer in the way of any water so please come with water bottle etc.

We are open from 8am to 1pm the Monday to Saturday.  Closed Sunday.

If you are interested in pre-picked raspberries or blueberries now is a great time to order!

We are not filling strawberry orders at this time.  But for those who have ordered, we will fill you orders as soon as we can.

Bunny won't even look at the camera---so ashamed of what he's been into in the garden.

Raspberries are excellent in all ways.  Exceptional picking.  I won't overdue the superlatives on you.  But just know it is good (and I'm holding back on!)  However, we can't be sure it's going to remain this way.  It's hot and everything is ripening at lightening speed so now is better than later as far as raspberries are concerned.  Due to the unknown of the effect of the temps.,  we would prefer to fill all raspberry orders sooner rather than later.  If you plan to have us pre-pick your raspberries, now is good time to place your order.  We anticipate 2 more weeks of raspberries.

Blueberries have just made their entrance this week but they too are ripening quickly and so the picking is very good. Big and sweet summer blueberries!  We do not anticipate the 5 to 6 week season they normally give us. Fraser Valley growers are predicting the length of their season will be cut in half.

We'll keep you updated as we try to gauge the early bounty of this season of fresh berries.

Email is the best way to get a hold of us: for orders or questions.

We are open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8am to 1pm.  Closed Sunday.

*Strawberries still on hiatus but there are some ripe out there.
